Academic Progress Reports
At the end of each quarter an Academic Progress Report will be sent or given to each parent or guardian. The progress report used at Crest Lane Seventh-day Adventist School is one developed for use in the Columbia Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. Many aspects of development cannot be accurately assessed by objective standards, therefore, the quarterly report is only a partial evaluation of a student’s total growth.
Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences
Two formal Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled during the school year. These conferences are an essential part of the cooperative relationship with parents in the process of teaching children and assisting in their character development. The formal conferences are scheduled following the First and Third Quarters.
The teaching staff encourages additional conferences throughout the school year. Frequent communication between home and school promotes the spiritual, the academic, and the social well-being of the student.
Testing
Standardized Achievement Tests are administered each fall to determine each student's level in academic learning. Only students in grades three through eight (3-8) take them.
